Film: Starship Troopers

It feels like a sci-fi because there are medium sized creatures that look and move robotically. Special weapons which can kill the aliens, so it will have an over the top explosion. There also a giant alien bug.	The bug spits a hot lava breath and the bugs look unique, since they have small robotic kinds of bugs, since they look different from real bugs and have a particular pattern on them showing that they are aliens because of their unique look.		Military science fiction – because they are wearing outfits and have weapons which make them look like they are in some kind of army.
What two things did you like from the scene/film: I like the exaggerated explosion and the lava spitting bug and the little monsters they have to kill because their legs look like spider legs which gives them a creepy spider alien effect.
What two things did you not like from the scene/film: When the bug shoots out some lava-like spit it burns the man’s arm off and it makes some of his arm disappear but his hand still floats there like it’s still connected making it not seem too realistic.

One thing that makes this film a sci-fi is the mythical creatures shown in it and their blue skin, since aliens have different coloured skin.	One thing that is unique about this film is the way they create different creatures, like if it was far in the future and they had evolved into bigger creatures that can fly and the fact that their main character has blue skin, since people don’t tend to have characters with blue skin, even though its sci-fi. A lot of the film has different technology used. It is used in a way that it could possibly exist.		Hard science fiction- this is because in the film the man goes into another world using a particular type of technology and it shows you how it would work in the science world.
What two things did you like from the scene/film: I liked the designs for the flying creatures, since they also look like dragons but not which is cool, the wings for them look cool too, I just really like their designs and I like how they used technology to create that specific world.
What two things did you not like from the scene/film: I don’t like the main character, since he’s a bit boring in my opinion and the story feels a bit boring, since its just feels like they mainly wanted to have a world with blue people in and how they connect with nature which is alright but not my sort of interest.

Film: District 9 Segregation

This feels like a sci-fi because the buildings have been destroyed like some alien spaceship has come and destroyed it but it could also be a set-up for something else but they also have aliens in the background while the people are talking.	They make it seem like a documentary since they are talking while being recorded and it seems like they are being interviewed about the aliens.		Robot fiction- this is because an alien appears in the background and it looks robot like.
What two things did you like from the scene/film: I like how they made it seem like a documentary, having the alien in the background which makes it seem quite cool and like its natural like a disaster to happen. I like how they have signs up too, warning people about the aliens.
What two things did you not like from the scene/film: It seems sort of slow and it keeps changing from person to person and they all seem bored, like they don’t want to be there but it could be because the aliens are there. Also because there’s a part where someone says they kill you if they see you and the alien would’ve seen them, not much action in it.

Marine life lives in space. It is being polluted. Superhumans want to take over every dimension and planet to stop this from happening.
